Design of Dental Implants

Dental implants are today’s preferred solution for anyone with missing teeth. Each implant is a device that is surgically placed into the jaw to serve as an anchor for your new “tooth”. After a few months, the titanium surface integrates into the bone, acting similar to the roots of your natural tooth. A custom crown, bridge, or other restoration is then cemented on the top of the implant, via an abutment. The procedure is usually completed in two appointments, over the course of a few months for full integration to take place.

Implants are backed by leading technology and research. They offer a permanent solution and very little maintenance after placement (normal brushing, flossing, and regular checkups.) Implants are extremely strong and able to withstand the normal pressure of biting and chewing, giving you freedom to eat whatever you want. This design helps our patients to feel comfortable without the fear of any rocking, rubbing, or movement that can sometimes occur with dentures.
